Wildlife Garden Design and Installation
We designed and planted a garden for one of our clients in Wickhambreaux, Kent. The client's request was for the garden to be wildlife friendly, to attract as much wildlife as possible. We achieved this with planting many pollinator friendly plants, which have a long flowering/interest period and provide shelter for winter hibernation.
We added log piles in amongst planting to create a perfect habitat for stag beetles and other small invertebrates. A pond was also added for aquatic wildlife, which also benefits birds, dragonflies and damsels. There is a shallow water area with an escape ramp for animals (e.g. hedgehogs) so they can easily get out.
In a corner, with broken pots, we created an amphibious hotel surrounded by tall ferns. Here they are protected from the hot summer sun and from predators.

We also dotted around a few bug hotels to help protect insects in all seasons of the year.
